Skimmer hook up?

With A recirculating skimmer is it best to hook it up from the tanks return pump or hook it to the drain line coming out of the overflow? Or does it not matter?

I've used the drain before but really couldn't keep the skimmer constant. I would try something like a Max-jet 1200 for a feed depending on the size of the skimmer.

yes the best way to feed it with pump.
