skimmer newby

Hello out there, just looking for suggestions on a good protein skimmer for a 180 gal. I am limited on space and need an in sump skimmer less than 24" tall as I only have 24" from bottom of sump to bottom of stand.

Any suggestions are welcome as this is my first biger tank and will be first skimmer so don't know much about them.

That's for sure, the only ones I found so far are the bubble master 200 or the euro-reef rs180. Tho the 180 would be pushing my space limits but it might be doable if the collection cup comes off from the side.

Octopus NW200.. 13 1/4x11 1/2x24. The cup has a union it might fit..

Hey what do you think about the octopus nw150? I looked at aquacave and it said they are 23" high and needs 3/4" clearance for cup removal. If they are considered good skimmers u cant beat 170 bucks w/pump.

Hey acropora nut, I have to agree with everyone on ur thread, that is one of the best tanks I have seen and one of the best tangs also.
Congrats on the TOTM thing, I will be looking for it.
I see u have an octopus skimmer so they must be pretty good judging from the condition of ur tank.
