Skimmer pump going bad?

My skimmer is usually very consistent, but this week it has either been not skimming at all or overflowing. Havent made any changes to the tank. Could the pump be to blame?

could be pump. might be airflow or something else. what kind of skimmer?

do you dose kalk?

I just had that problem last week with my sedra 5000.. I got a lil worried that the pump was crappin out, but i took it out to clean it and the air inlet was loaded with gunk. I cleaned it out and works like i just bought it.

Might wanna try that.

I'd check your pumps intake and your venturi to make sure there isn't anything partially blocking your intake.

Dont use kalk. Its a Precision Marine RL150. I will check the inlets, thanks for the tips

Snail can partially block intakes and wreak havoc...

Well the bad news is I broke off the nipple to the intake. The good news is thats where all the gunk build up was, and I probably wouldnt have seen it if it didnt break off. Seems to rest pretty snug in place so I dont think I'll have to glue it back on.
