hello

u bought a skimmer over seas in the uk, and they use a different plug and voltage there than in the us. doese anyone know what i would need to get it running and where i could buy it.

any help is greatly appreciated
thx

just checked the price of a new pump, and its 220. anyone know how i can run the pump i already have

Most pumps are 110-240V compatible with only the plug end being different. What is the make and model of the pump? Is it a two prong plug or three? I assume it doesn't have an external power supply? It might be as simple as getting a new power plug from the hardware store, cutting the euro plug off and attaching the US 110/115V plug end to the cord.

the pump is the aquabee. it says the pump is 50 hertz 220/230 volts, but the three prong plug enbd says 250 on it.

i ran an adapter plug, and the pump turned on but not fully. I have a hunch that i need something else to run the pump effectivly. i dont think the pump is broken, but with my limited knowlege on electricity it could b possible

I'm on my phone right now, but I have a link on my pc that I read earlier today that may help you. EU pumps run at 50hz due to the type of electricity available there compared to 60hz here in the states (again due to the type of electricity.) Running either pump outside of its respective 50 or 60hz will damage it so you may be stuck buying a new pump or at least a transformer if you. an find a US to EU version. ill find that article tomorrow and link it here for you
