skimmer pump to return pump?

Hello,

i have currently using a gen 1 bk mini 180 for my 90g and i was wondering if i can turn the bk skimmer pump into a return pump for my new tank?

You can do that but it's better to change the impeller to get better flow from the pump.

If you want an Askoll based return pump, they are available from a couple of mfgrs. I wouldn't go messing the the BK skimmer. If you dont need it, you can sell it, buy a return pump and have $ left over.

This is true , it's better to buy lagune 1500 and use it as return pump instead the RD pump .
