Mojo,
My wonderful wife got me a seaside aquatics cs2 for my 90 gallon DT w/ 40 gallon sump(tank not set up, will be mixed reef) from what I have read, it seems like a good fit for my set up, but would like to your thought's Mojo "the skimmer master"!

Also, tank will not be set up for a while, found we are moving soon, storage tips please.

Thank you Mojo!!!!

Phil,

Give her a big kiss. its perfect. just keep it in the box and you are fine.

Mimic Tang
Royal Gamma

100 hermits
100 snails

its a large load but the atb uses the askol 1500 motor block. the airstar pump is really nice.

I have the BM250 purchased used retrofitted with two Sicce PSK-1000s and it works great! Never failed to start shutting down daily, a common problem with the older pumps as I understand.

Not sure if you missed this...
Have a ATI Bubble Master 200 (the newer body with stock gate valve...) and looking for a replacement pump. I am leaning towards the Sicce PSK1000 sold by Avast Marine

(can be found here http://www.avastmarine.com/ssc/do/pr.../SICCE-PSK1000)

Wondering how easy it will replace the stock psk 2500, and what you think?

Thanks for all your help on the forum.

That would be a great replacement. Avast did a really nice job with the venturi. you may need to take a fitting off your old one but it shouldnt be hard at all. I woud get the avast psk1000

Do you guys see any problem with the way this beckett is set up etc.

The water is coming from an overflow rated for 2500-3000 gph, the pipe on the inside of the overflow has been removed and the overflow is full, it drains to the the coralife pump rated for 1100 gph, then up to the beckett, the pump and skimmer are sitting on the floor and the water draining from the beckett goes up 2' to the sump.

Thanks for any advice

Hey Mojo,

I got myself a Euro Reef RS 135 (no mods) to upgrade my Bubble Magus BM100.

Was this even a noteworthy upgrade?

I also recived a EuroReef Rs180 With a broken pump.
Know any pumps that will fit for a decent price?

Out of the 2 Euro Reefs I have now. Would it be worth spending the $ on a new pump for the RS180 Or would it be ovver kill.

Tank info:

90 G display
2 tangs and 6 other small fish
30 G sump
Biopellets
Sps,lps

They would both work well. The ER 135 is a solid skimmer and is a better fit long term.I would def say it is an upgrade. THe ER line and reef dynamics are simple well balanced skimmer.

Hi mojo,
I am planning a 120 tank (med-heavy load) with 30-40 gallon sump. I was looking into the seaside aquatics cs1, the jns sk2, the sro 2000 int, and the bubble magus nac7. what are your thoughts on these skimmers? Looks like the NAC7 is the cheapest price, but not sure if it is cheap quality. Thanks!

Mojo, I'm currently running a swc 160 cone on my 57g w/20g sump with a heavy bioload. My pos atman 2500 is starting to go out (for the second time) on me again and I think it's time to try a new skimmer with a more reliable pump. Sump depth is about 9 inches. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Mojo,

I have an old WM AS200 on my 180g. Having issues with the pump not working so I may need another skimmer eventually since I can't find a replacement pump. Should I upgrade to an Aquamaxx AM 250? I would appreciate your thoughts.

Which one would be a better choice for a 400 g tank 600 g total system volume:
Sro ext 5000 cone
ATI powercone 250 I
Was advised to go with SRO but might be getting a deal on a used (only 2 months) ATI. Any idea if the controllable pumpshave solved the restart issue. Would this skimmer need an upgrade when my tank gets fully loaded ?thx

Hi Mojo,

I have an Aqua Euro USA 55 that I have been running on my 40 gallon long for over a year. It has never really performed as well as I would expect it to. It either doesn't pull anything or it pulls water. I can't seem to find the middle ground. I'd appreciate any advice on getting it running correctly. Otherwise I may have to get rid of it and try something else.

Thanks!

Mojo, do you have any thoughts regarding the Reef Dynamics skimmers? I am looking at the SRO 2000 but someone suggested this line to me as well. It's for a 150 g tank heaving stocked with coral (including SPS) and about 6 fish or so.

Thanks!

Mojo
I have a 90g tank, maybe around 100-110 total volume w sump. Have 11 fish, 10 sps frags/small
Colonies, 12 lps, 5 shrimp, variety of
Snails. My current skimmer is a Bermuda bps-3c with hyperflow 17hf and as far as I can tell it's too big a skimmer. It doesn't skim consistently, only after heavy feeding, scraping the inner glass, or after a tank cleaning/water change. Most
If he time it produces a very wet light green watery skim. I wasn't planning to add more than 1 or 2 fish, but do plan on getting more sps and lps as well as an anemone. I'm stuck on whether or not I should get a more appropriately sized skimmer or stick with the Bermuda. If new, can you make some recommendations on what to get for this kind/size system?

hey mojo, i have a 60 gallon frag tank with a 40 gallon sump...what skimmer would you recommend? dont want to spend more than 500
