Hey Mojo,
Which skimmer would you use between a WM K2 and a WM AS200? Is it just price and footprint, or does one perform better than the other?
Thanks

Thanks Mojo~, that is the kind of information that I need since I am totally new to this. I read your enitire thread and it appears that the Vertex in 100 or 180 may be a good one for me. Another possibility is a MSX200. I am just now building this set up that will be about 90 gallons for the tank and another 30 gallons for the sump. This is based on internal measurements and maximum level but does not include the displacement for LR and sand. Once I have a couple in mind I can wait for good used one to come up.

Depends on size of system really. The as200 is going to move about twice the water or more than the k2. So if you are running over 150g tank I would go with the as 200. I would say a perfect match for the k2 is a well stocked 125. The AS200 will handle more water volume with the sedra 9000HO. air draw is the same but it will just process more water. It wont be quiet as efficient as the k2 but it has a beast of a pump.

in sump I would go with the vertex in 100 or the msx/octo X 160 . For a HOB look at the warner marine h1 or h2 or the octo line/ msx line at marine solutions.
