The NAc 7 would be my choice. Not built as good as the a150 but I believe it is better balanced and will perform well for you. I liked the NAC 7 I had. Build wasnt as heavy as I like but it performed well.
Mojo~
What odd on this its the whole skimmer thats more the issue. If I take the pump out of the body it seems pretty quiet. With the pump plugged into the body, the whole thing sort of resonates and hums. They need more isolation between the body and the pump.I agree. THe BB pumps do work really well but do hum. THe Askol is very quiet. I can not hear my bb pump when I close my doors on the stand though.
Similar performance though.
I see, alrights.Yes I would say that. More efficient and better suited to what you are doing.
I assume you are still going to run a sump? I run skimmer filter sock carbon and gfo.
Ran that way for long time. Just started running biopellets. No fuge for me.
I would say your bx 1 and the vertex in 100 are really similar in performance. the sro 1000 and SWC cone would be a small upgrade yes. maybe not in quality but in performance yes
Vertex IN-100 on a 29g with 15g 10g sump, I know overkill but would their still be enough organics for the skimmer to work?
I am looking at MRC mr-2 skimmer and trying to decide if i will need 2nd injector option ?
this one will be going on a system 280 gal .
