Skimmer recommendation for a 50g?

I'm looking to upgrade my skimmer on a 50g cube. Tank is still in it's infant stages, but plans are to have it moderately stocked and house SPS corals. So I'm looking for high efficiency and high nutrient export. I currently have an SCA 301 skimmer and it does a decent job for the bio load on the system now.
Sump space is small, so I need a smaller footprint. The chamber the skimmer is currently in is roughly 7.5" x 8". There is a divider I can remove that would open it up to about 7.5" x 12".
I like the Vertex Omega 130, but not sure it will fit. I'd also like something with a DC pump, but that's not mandatory.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Wow. I was just about to open the same thread... I'm interested in seeing what this brings... The only other request that I would have is needs to be QUIET PLEASE..

Forgot to mention the Ice Cap K2 120 and 160 have really caught my interest too. I haven't seen much for reviews on them, but they look to be well built and use a pump that's well known.

whatever is on craigslist or local marine forum IMO. Most people have a skimmer they used when they had a smaller tank then moved up. Focus on the pump not the skimmer. You can make an incredible skimmer with 4" pvc and a sicce pump :)

I have seen many of your posts regarding skimmer sizing/purchasing and have come to this conclusion, next system I build I'll just shoot you a PM for what would best fit my application and just get whatever you might recommend.
My recommendations are purely my opinion. There are multiple ways to run a reef and my way is just one of them. There is a lot of good product out there but I am a big fan of this new Somatic line. Expansion of the line is coming soon so that is a bonus for beginning reefers.
