Skimmer Recommendation

I need a skimmer for my 220gal tank. It's going to be a FOWLR with a 75gal sump. Since I'm building the sump in 2 weeks, I need to pick out my skimmer to make sure I build the chamber large enough for it. What skimmer should I go with? I want it to be decently quiet. I've looked at these but not sure if any of them are worth the $$$. Please, any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry but none of those are really going to be all that great.you are only going to have fish so it isnt going to have to be $1000 skimmer but you will want something that will at least do something. What kinda budget do you have for a skimmer? Look at the MSX 250 or a warner marine S200. Both of those will work much better and are about as cheap as I would go. And still give you good reliable performance. you will better off finding a good used skimmer over a cheap new one.

Thanks for the info mojo, this is why I ask before I bought anything. The two you recommended are more than I had originally planned on spending, but from what I've read the skimmer is extremely important so I guess I'll suck it up and get the better equipment. With any luck I can find one used but if not all cough up the cash.
