Skimmer Smell

Is there any way to cut the smell of skimate, or at least hide it? I dump my collection cup every few day and wipe it down every week. I get about 1/2 to 3/4 of the collection cup full every few days. I've heard to soak the cup in vinegar when you wash it, is this correct if whats the correct way to do it. Any help would be awesome.

put kalk powder in you collection cup. It will stop the smell.

Don't know what design you have, but I run carbon over the top of the holes where the air comes out. may be your collection cup or a remote skimmate collector like I have.
