Skimmer suggestions?

Looking for a skimmer for a 225 gallon tank and the height of the skimmer can't exceed 24" and needs to be internal. Looking for a skimmer with the best bang for the buck. Price range is open but looking to stay below $700.

Msx/swc 250 or 300 is a great skimmer for the price

most bang for your buck under $700 would be the SWC/msx 350:

3 sicce psk2500's,
3000-3600lph of air @ 75-90watts for $599

...but that might be a little much for a 225g.
you might as well get the 250.
or the SWC A1 cone for $799

I read with glee your comment on wanting a skimmer with the best bang for the buck. For you see, I too look for the best fighter, pound for pound.

From experience, a premier skimmer choice would be the RE Alpha 250. Although it is higher priced than the $700 mentioned, it is a beast for the price. and rated to 400 gallon. The Alpha 200 is rated to 325, and comes in at $749. The rating on these skimmers is true., not inflated. I would also look at the Vertex line, much less expensive but still a quality skimmer, providing high value at a more than reasonable price.
