skimmer suggestions?

COMAS Rocks!
We swapped out the 5g wet/dry sump for a custom 20l i had previously used on our 75g system. This gives me a little more room for equipment and now comes the fun part of finding a skimmer. Trying to find an HOB type, preferably one of the flatter models, such as some of the Reef Octopus HOB's or CPR bak-paks. Been reading through plenty of threads but just not sure which one I want. I'm definatly leaning towards the Reef Octopus BH1000 model but would like a few more opinions/suggestions from anyone who's actually used one or currently using one.

58g Reef w/ 20g L sump, roughly 70g total water volume. This thing would be hung on the back/side of the sump itself. The inlet chamber section of the sump will keep water just a couple inches shy of 'full' in that particular area. thoughts anyone?

I have not used either but I was thinking about the same things. I've heard very good things about both of them and know that there are quite a few members use one or the other. I think the CPR might be a little more affordable. Will be interested to see the responses on this

I ran a reef octopuss HOB for awhile on the 65 I had. Worked well but I out grew it and had to upgrade to an insump skimmer.

I just upgraded from the coralife 65 hob to the reef octopus NWB110 in sump and it skims like a champ! If you decide to go in sump that is. I have the coralife 65 for trade or sale now if you are interested.

I'm looking to upgrade the coralife 65 I have as well :) I can't find the air inlet piece for the pump and decided instead of ordering a whole new pump, just get a new better skimmer. It'll definatly be going in the sump but not sure if I'll have the room for an actual "in sump" model, the squarish hob's from reef octopus look like a decent alternative and their still getting great reviews. What size sump you have yours in Ghellin? and is this in your 58g setup? I'd really like to see pics if you got em, may give me an idea or two. We tossed a 20gL on ours just to have more water volume but it's really not "set up" yet. I may even wind up taking it back out and redoing all the baffles and plumbing.
