Ok i have Two 1-1/2 inch drains.... Has anyone use one drain for draining into sump and the second drain use for a feed to a beckett skimmer in sump????

what probs im having is the dursos are fighting with eachother. any info would be good thank you

gotta be some input from someone......

What im askin is where should i get the input for the skimmer....

in the sump ????first chamber?

A beckett relies on high flow, pressure rated pumps to throw the water in, wheras a recirculating nw only wants to be slowly fed.

i have a tarpon pump from secquence.. awesome pump but i was using one of the drains on my tank to feed it... dosent seem to do any good ... think im going to plumb in a spot on the sump where the filtersock is......

The pump doesn't perform because it wants to pull much more flow in and wants it steady, unlike a overflow drain.
You are NEVER supposed to feed a pump, it pulls it's own.
With a beckett, run a pump for it and keep your drains all running to sump/fuge - imo
