i have a 125 gal tank and need a hob skimmer and was wondering wat a good skimmer is i was looking at the corallife super skimmer for 125 gal or the aqua c pro but it only says 75gal+ so witch pump should i use for that or is there a diffent one i should use

I'm just starting out after a 6 year break so I am not an expert but I bought a CPR bak-pak HOB skimmer and it seems really nice. I would get it again.. the only thing I did wrong was buy the regular model that has a bio bale instead of the reef only model that is just a skimmer

The Aqua C Pro is actually rated for 90 gallons. I have a friend who has used an Aqua C Urchin pro on his 125 for many years. He uses a mag 5 pump and has never had problems from it and always gets excellent smelly skimate.

I use The Aqua C Pro on my 90 gallon with a mag 3 pump currently and it's been in service for 2 years with absolutley no problems.

Be aware that if you decide to go with the CSS you'd better read up on the many mods. To me it just doens't make sense but that's what people choose to buy.

there will only be 2-3 fish in it maby 4 but its going to be mostly corals so i think that im gana get the 220 rated super skimmer and just leave it

IME a CSS220 is not nearly enough skimmer for a 125

I have the css220 and I think its enough for a 125 with low to medium bioload.. You may want to look into some of the mods to make it a bit more efficient.
