Skimming fast or slow?

I have a Euro Reef running on my 120 and I am curious to how everyone skims. I have ran it to where the cup is full in a day or two. I have also run it to where it takes a week to fill the cup. I notice that the slower it skims the darker the skimmate. Your opinions please.

Wet skiming and dry skiming are more of a personal perferance, and with what you wish to accomplish with your skimmer.:rollface:

If i'm having a problem with something i'll skim wetter for a few days. But normally i keep it more on the dry side.
