Skinny clowns

I have two picassos and I think that they're a little on the thin side...I can begin to see the outline of their lateral line. They get flake, mysis, and rods food usually 3-4 times a week. How can I get more weight on these clowns without causing a major nitrate problem in my tank?

Feed them more?

I feed my pair of cinnamons 2-3 times DAILY, not weekly. I only feed what they'll consume while the food is still suspended (before it hits the tank floor). If I overfeed a little bit, the cleaner shrimp is sure to not let it go to waste.

I've had the pair for not even a month, and the female has just about doubled in length, and is a FAT beotch.

HTH, just my experience.

How will that affect my water parameters though? I'm doing twice weekly water changes, but I don't want to have an algae bloom (they're in a full blown reef tank).

It won't affect your parameters at all if you control how much you put in. Infact there is all the more reason to kick up mow much you feed because of your twice weekly water changes.

I feed pretty much twice a day to my tanks, and I do monthly water changes. I think you'll be fine;)
