skinny fish not gaining weight

Greetings and happy weekend!

I have had a new firefish in my QT for a week now.
I bought him skinny/sunken stomach.
He eats with gusto, but after 1 week his stomach is still shrunken in.
He behaves normally and is eating twice a day PE mysis frozen alternating with flakes.

Should I be worried about an apparent lack of progress or is 1 week not enough time to regain the lost mass?

I have given him 1 round of PraziPro, dunno if that matters.
I am willing to treat for internal parasites but will need some guidance as to what drug and whether necessary.

Probably not long enough for him to fill in. If he is eating well, continue to feed and observe. If after a couple more weeks he still isn't making improvement, then take action with something like metro or Paracide-D/Paracide-X. I would pay attention to his stools as well. If they are white and stringy, internal worms are likely the cause.

His poops are very normal looking so that's a good sign I guess

I have metro at the ready but will wait a couple more weeks as you suggest.
