Skunk cleaner shrimp

I have one now and he/she's really cool and fun. Coupla questions about these critters...

Do they mate?

How do you tell the difference so you get two who will mate?

Do they do better in pairs to clean fish?

How big of a tank do you need to put more than one in?

Do they get along well with others, i.e. peppermint shrimp?

Thanks, as always. :D

Yes, they can/will mate, but reproduction is usually unsuccessful in a tank.

They can change sex, so pairing up isn't a big deal.

I believe they will have no problems with some other shrimp such as Peppermint, Sexy Anemone, or Blood Red Fire Shrimp, but there may be an issue when mixing with Coral Banded Shrimp.

On a minimum tank size, I'm not too sure. They're not very busy and usually stay in a cave or very close to it. About the only time they leave is to get food if necessary.

I have two in my 29g tank. If you have two, they will pair up. Mine have released eggs twice in about a mounts time. As long as my peppermint shrimp stay away when it is time for the skunks to molt everything is fine. They fight when it is about time to molt.

If you have two, they will reproduce. You can't raise them, but it's free food for corals and fish. They don't change sex, they are both male and female! :D
