Skunk clowns...

What anemone fits these guys best beside a carpet.

Don't want the carpet to eat my other fish. I had my eyes on an ultra rbta. Thx

Of course I am partial to an S. Haddoni, but in the past my pair was hosted by an LTA (( M. doreensis )) and for a brief period an BTA (( E. Quadricolor )) --- though when it comes to clowns and anemones, there is no set rules.

Yea, I have 7 pink skunk clowns in my 135g and they just stay in one corner. I want them to have a home.

I am guessing that they just stay in one corner because you have 7 of them. I suspect that once a pair forms and they start spawning, all heck is going to break loose. My pair because very aggressive once they started spawning. I even think that adding an anemone is going to start a lot of fighting, and may be bad for the anemone if they are try to be hosted by it.

^^^wow^^^

that's exactly what they do(stay in the corner) one actually moved to the other end of the tank and stays there on his own. So a nem is a bad idea huh? Hmmmm...

^^ I wouldn't say a nem is a bad idea so much as 7 clowns is a bad idea.
A nem will just add to the aggression as they will then have something they will want to fight over.

I always like to see natural pairings so I would go for a LTA (m. doreensis). That being said, I agree with the others, you may want to look into removing 5 of those clowns first...

So is it just the aggression to see who wins the nem or is it having 7 clowns in one tank period? How about having nemerous nems? Thx guys!

Almost always more than one pair ends badly when they mature, except if started from same clutch, HUGE tank, or the very rare lucky few, and there aren't many of those.(only one person comes to mind that I know, and his tank is so chock full of fish they don't know what's up)
