SLASH Coral Growing Contest: Raspberry Ice Acropora

Contest Start Date: 3/15/2015
Contest End Date: 3/15/2016

Rules:

1. Frags must be picked up from me by the actual participant at the Spring Swap on March 15, 2015.
2. The contest period is 12 months.
3. Corals will be donated through the CDP so refer to the CDP rule guide if you are unfamiliar.
4. All participents are required to post growth shots every 2 months.
5. 10 frags are available and I will have a beginning pic of each one numbered, like previous Coral Growing Contests.
6. In order to claim your frag, please post in the CDP thread for this coral (www.slashclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3844). I cannot accept your submission if I am contacted through this thread or through PM.

Contest Update!

Contest Update!

The thread has been updated! The contest has been changed from 6 months to now 12 months long. The frags I have available are all relatively similar in size (and not very big) and they are all just encrusted for now.. I added 6 more months on because I feel like it may take a few months for the coral to adjust, then once it gets going we will really have a competition on our hands!!!

I predict that some people's frags will keep encrusting while others may start branching out. Either way it will be a fun time seeing what this coral really likes!

I am hoping that everyone that volunteered for the contest has a stable system with either two part dosing, Kalk, or calcium reactor. If you dont have any sps and have signed up it may be beneficial to read up on what SPS corals require. granted one small frag probably wont eat it all up but still ... it is a contest. LOL

Funny you should say that. My dosing pump system. 2 part dosing chemicals and reef chili are in route. Hopefully get them tomorrow or Monday. Just in case.

i have a couple im growing i was going to take my sump ofline to sell it with the 120 but nobody wanted to buy the 120 so im keeping the sump so my frag tank has been doing pretty decent. still having bubble algae issiues in it tho.
