I'll try and get an updated photo in the next day or two. I nearly lost the frag due to some serious alk swings when I discovered my calf reactor was out of commission. Just below 6kh.
Lost a bit of color and no pe but it's started to rebound

Bad test kit. I must have been running dkh at 13-14 maybe event higher and I thought I was at 7 according to the kit. Kept bumping it up but it didn't get better. Took me a couple of weeks to figure it out because I was preoccupied with a crazy schedule at work by that time it was a white forest of sticks.

Lessons learned:

1. Don't trust a single test kit. Change it up every other time.
2. Reefing before work.

Dwayne here on RC said that SPS tanks are nothing but calcium reactor media waiting to happen....eventually, if you miss a week or two, the SPS will die...I've had my share of disasters and feel for you BK.

I made the same mistake with testing for mag. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up chasing a number instead of thinking why nothing is changing when you are adding stuff.

Here's mine. Never was good at puzzles and didn't do a good job putting it back together.

What is the brown stuff growing on that frag rack? I used egg crate to make a rack and had an issue with the same stuff. Removed the EC and finally its' gone.

It's just slimy film algae.
