Small Bulkhead Ideas

I'm going to use a cat litter container like this

to drip kalk/topoff water. Does anyone have any ideas for a small bulkead/faucet that can be mounted cleanly to the container and is readily available at Lowes/ Home Depot, etc?

I could put something in a hole and glob silicone all over it but would prefer something a little cleaner looking.

Are these safe to store water in, because I have a ton of them that I have thrown away that I could have used. I was told to only use food grade plastics.

I keep my RO/DI unit connected to a large container with a float valve for RO/DI water and a 7 gal bucket with a float valve for home RO drinking water. Each are plumbed with bulkheads.

My RO reservoir specifically has a small DIY Bulkhead fitting with a 90 elbow and a ball valve and for dispensing water. Cheap, easy and effective.

Just a male adapter, female adapter and an O ring? Cool. I can switch it over to tubing after the female and use John Guest fittings into the sump.
