Small clam growing on my Squamosa Clam

Notice my clam hasn't been opening as much as lately and upon further investigation I noticed this... Some type of mollusk?

I don't know, but I would get it off. Blue Squammys are the holy grail and I would do nearly anything for one.

I am having a hard time removing it, it seems integrated into its shell.. and it's not the only one, I noticed two more lower down

At least kill it so that the clam can grow new shell over it.

Anyone have experience killing these things?

It's most likely a small oyster. If you really want to kill it, just stab it. Or snap one half of the shell off.

Stabbing it being the easier method.

Just let it develop.
