small fan polyp out of acro

I have a new acro that has a small fan coming in and our of one of the polpys at a super fast rate. None of the other sps have it, what it is and possibly what does it do good and bad?

My guess it is basically a barnacle that the spa is growing around making it look like its a polyp. I have the same thing

Taking the gamble letting the barnacle on white and yellow sps ride. Spin the reef wheel again.

It won't harm the coral. Mine has been like that for over a year. Looks cool too!

I have one, too. Doesn't seem to bother the coral at all.
