I recently bought a H shrimp..he was tiny and his size worried me but I finally found one so I bought.. haven't seen him since and I know they are nocturnal but I'm just wondering if hes alive 3 days later...

Anyone have any experience with a small h shrimp?

It depends if there are enough sea stars in the tank to sustain it.
Did you check if it is a male or female?

Check the bottom of the abdomen where the swimming feet are.
Males are clear/cream, Females have wide white stripes there.
I found that males do better as singles than females.

if the shrimp is that new it's possible it's still in hiding. often for inverts a new home, and the subsequent change in water chemistry, will kick off a molt.

i will caution that even the small ones eat an incredible amount of starfish. when i had mine he was going through about 1.5 - 2 large chocolate chip stars a month. i couldn't keep him supplied with the asteria stars, he ate those like i eat shrimp cocktail at a buffet.
