Small Refugium better than no refugium?

Hi all

I am considering adding a CPR HOB fuge to my setup. Due to the small size of my tank and stand I am unable to have a full size sump/refugium. I am looking at the CPR (small) hob fuge and light to have a place for sand, small lr rubble, macro algae and pod growth. So the question is, is it worth it? They are really small but I would imagine that if I was able to grow cheato that it would have to be beneficial to some degree in competing for nutrients with any nuisance algae in the main display, no? Here is a link to the product as well as a current fts of my tank. Thanks in advance for your time and responses.

Yes, I have one just like this and it started on my 24ga Nano, but once I sold the Nano, it went to my 60ga and seems to be just fine. Something is definitely better than nothing...........IMO

I was thinking about getting one of these too. Adds a bit of water volume o the tank too :) Out of curiosity, how come you dont get the medium sized one?

I am going to remeasure for the medium size one but it is strictly due to space restrictions. MY Deltec is HOB as well and quite wide. Plus I have a frag rack on the back wall, power heads etc etc.
