Small spots around Desjardini's eye

I've noticed these tiny spots around the eyes of my sailfin tang. they don't look raised, can't tell if they are sunken. Don't know if it's normal.
Anybody familiar with these small spots?

That alarm is going off already, which is why I posted this.
So far I'm thinking it is because that's 2 votes for HLLE

Thanks for the response.

I would post this into the fish disease forum as well (if you haven't already :)). Looks like the beginnings of HLLE to me also as the 'spots' appear to be sunken.

I believe if you hit the little warning triangle icon below your name it will get their attention!

Just in case that's wrong, don't tell them it was my suggestion, OK? :lolspin:

They moved the report but not this thread :debi:

As for the fish - I would start treating against HLLE

I've been doing a lot of reading. Main things I see about HLLE treatment is diet and vitamins.
I'm not sure the source of the HLLE. Possibly stray voltage? And if so, I have read so many back and forth articles about stray voltage.
I'm going to get some selcon and another vitamin or 2... hopefully that helps, and hopefully I've caught it early enough.

+1 for the HLLE, provide more vitamin enriched food and natural marine seaweed instead of terrestrial veggie (like cabbage or lettuce), and a rich, varied diet.

I feed all my tangs nori dried seaweed. Never had one get HLLE. May want to try feeding him Nori at least 3 times a week.

I feed nori every single day. I recently picked up Rods nori with 3 different kinds of seaweed in it.
Sometimes frozen mysis.. and recently began feeding live blackworms every few days.
I stopped feeding formula 2 pellets a while ago because of all the bad I read about pellets.
I feel like he gets a good diet, maybe the vitamins will help.

It's only on his face, speckled around his eyes on both sides.
Part of me thinks it was present when I got him a few months ago.
Just wanted to finally ask to see what you all thought as I can't tell if it was there, or supposed to be there/normal.

That fits with HLLE.
Has it gotten worse when you got him?
Even with good nutrition it may take months for it to start getting better and even longer for it to go away.

I agree with ThRoewer. Keep feeding him nori like you're doing. It should go away in time.
