Hello I was wondering if a fuge that I had built recently would be completely pointless due to its size. The chamber that is designed for the macro is only about 9in x 6in... Obviously I have a serious issue with size due to my narrow akward tank stand... The first problem was that I had to resort to using a 10gallon aquarium that I had designed 3 chambers for Skimmer/heater/live rock, 2nd chamber includes live rubble rock with a big handful of cheato algae, 3rd and final chamber housing the return pump. I guess my question is can I actually lower nutrients in my water column? Phosphate, nitrate? If this helps I am running a mixed reef in my 40gallon display with about 35 pounds of live rock. Tank has been up and running for about 10 months. Any help would be appreciated!:eek1:
