I took the flash light tonight and look around in the tank and see all these white round little snails all over the tank on the rocks the glass all over.
What are they and are they good or bad?
Though without pictures its impossible to confirm, just from your initial description (being that it was the same initial description I came up with when I first saw them) I would guess they are Collonista snails. Here is a useful link I found http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/SwSnails/Collonista.php
i've got them too man. I've had them for about 3 months with no adverse affects thus far. They come out at night clean the hell out of the glass and then hide in the rocks durring the day. I have hundreds if not thousands. I dont know if anything eats them but if something did then hell it would have a feast.

I have something similar and thought they were all young Astrea snails. Had them and they were wiped out after a mini-crash. Months later, they are back and slowing growing larger. They are more numerous at night, but many still roam during the day.
Thanks, I know this is an old posting but this helped me ID my snails. They are in fact Collonista Snails that if have. They look exactly like pjgibson photo more white with brown dots. Thank You I was thinking they were sun dial.
