What is the smallest anemone out there and how small of a tank can it fit in? Just curious not rushing into anything :)

Do you want it to host any clown fish? Do you have any sand bed in it? Most anemone do not move once it find a place that it is happy at.
If you want an hosting anemone on the rock then BTA is the obvious choice. In the sand, an H. malu. Both of these anemones are reasonably small and easy to keep. Malu may craw around in the sand a bit but will not go onto the rock structure.

Love my Malu, such a great nem if you are concerned about them getting too big, but I wouldn't do less than a 30g min, and it should really be well established.

A mini carpet nem would be the one that I'd have. Mini's (as opposed to maxi mini's) are about the size of quarter and divide regularly. They, and maxi nems, are perfect for small tanks.

I have some of those too. They are green and quite numerous. I wonder, are there other colors of them? It could make for an interesting nem garden.

I have two small anemones in my six gallon. The species is called Triactis producta.

(They are the anemones that came with my Pom Pom Crab).

I was actually thinking of those little nems on the boxer crab. Mojano are also a small nem that can come in really amazing colors. This being about the smallest of the anemone with longer tentacles.
