Smiddy's 260 build

The pictures are looking much better than the cell phone pics! I missed what kind of camera you got?
I feel like every reefer should be warned that they need a good camera if they want a fish tank lol.

Thank you. I am still a ways away from getting quality photos, but one must start somewhere. I got a Nikon D5300. I would agree if they want to document the tank well! I still need to buy a true macro lens but $700.... I am not good enough yet to spend that kind on money on one.

Beautiful looking sidekick!

I got two other sidekick that missed out of the photo op!

Beautiful setup man! I've been out of the tank game for almost 10 years. Looking for a house now and then a tank. This is one I'll be paying attention to!

Thank you! She is still young, so hopefully she will look better with age!

I am going to wait for the top downs till the colonies are larger, so the effort to take the canopy off is worth it.

a craftsman is only as good as his tools :beachbum: ... maybe check for some used lenses, they generally are a good buy. For corals a tripod, timer, manual mode and manual focus will usually get you pretty far, fish are a whole 'nother ball game. If you wind up pushing iso levels and get noise, try D fine2 from Nikcollection

I will do my best with what I have so far! That is what I have been doing for now.

I like those last two pics.

Looking real good. I went through that album and everything is looking real good.

Thank you!

Yesterday I got about 14 more corals. Will be showing them soon, once they settle in and look happy versus ****ed after dipping, gluing, and handled.
