Smoothdog's 150DD build

I seen this tank in person tonight and all I can say is it is stunning. Great job on everything Kirk.

Amazing! Love the Midas blenny. :D

Everything looks amazing Kirk. Love the flowerpot!

Beautiful smooth! Love it. What's in pic #10. That thing is so beautiful.

Quit bragging. Haha

Just kidding around. I'm jealous of your success!

Thanks all! Hey, I've gotta brag a little bit, I've finally got a tank I'm proud of! :D

Oh, and pic #10 is a tube anemone courtesy of Mr D Smack!

Tank looks great, Kirk. You are really getting some fast growth since I saw the tank last time. Does the setosa ever polyp out much?

Thanks Nook! The setosa is a reeeeaaally slow grower for me. It has very small polyps that are widely spaced. They are out in the picture but it's kind of a crappy pic and they are hard to see. Mine turned a little pale too and I wonder if it's getting too much light.

Well done!
How is the flow with the mp40's placed there? Chaotic or is there any kind of gyre? Are they at 100% ? Why did you add the tunze?

Thanks UI!

It's actually a jaebo wp40 in the back, the mp40s are a little too far back to cover the whole tank well but I like the clean look of them too much to replace with internal pumps (I built an overflow cover that hides the jaebo cord from 90% of the normal viewing angles). To resolve that I put the wp40 there to blow up through the middle. The result is turbulent flow throughout the tank with a slight gyre effect up the middle and around the sides.
