Snail cause Zoo's to change color

I bought a small zoo colony which had a hitchhiking snail on it. The snail left the zoo colony and "rested" itself on another zoo colony. I'm not sure if it is eating the zoo's.

When I pulled it off & relocated it (twice) there was a bald spot on the zoo's where it was laying, but the zoo's quickly re-blossomed (in a day) & became full again.

The thing is when the snail lays on zoo's the entire colony skirts turn Green from Yellow.

Is this common?
Should I get rid of the snail?

not knocking your tank but try to take of the flatworm problem suck em out get a wrass snail dont look bad

Looks like you have a red planaria issue there.

Yes I know I have a Flat Worm problem. I've been trying to reduce them b/4 using Flatworm Exit.

But that was not my question. Do I get rid of this Snail that is turning my Yellow Zoos to Green. Has anybody ever experienced this reaction.

What does the snail look like?

If there was a zoa under where it was sitting, then you removed the snail and the zoa polyp was gone, i'd say remove it ASAP.

Go here and see if the snail looks anything like Sundials and if so remove it.

The shell is more like a mini counch. You can see the top half in the picture. I took out the snail it was really holding on tight.

Has anybody experience a change in color when a snail attaches itself to it?

Do you think maybe it was contracting/tightening and that may have made it look like it was changing color. Lighting can play on colors in our tanks. Place a zoa in the middle and it will look slightly different when at the side.

It definantly changed color. Right now it's still Green maybe by tomorrow I'll change back to it's original color. I try posting a pic then.
