Snail ID please.

I found this snail roaming around on my glass after adding a new piece of LR from the Marshall Islands. That doesnt say much though cuz they keep it in the same tank as all the other LR at the LFS. Its very small, about half the size of my smallest finger nail. Doesnt seem to be hurting anything. Im sure someone can tell me what this is and if its safe to keep. Please reply, Thanks

It is a juvenile Trochoidean snail of some sort. I'm sure that it feeds on the same things that Turbo, Astrea, and Trochs do. It is probably one of those three genera and based on that shell coloration pattern, I'm guessing Trochus. It's very cute!

Yeah, its nice to watch, it spends half its time on the glass and the other in the sand. It likes to pick up larger grains of sand and clean them on its side.
