Snail ID?

Should I be concerned about these tiny little parasitic pyramid snails?

Your talking about the little snails on the cerith correct? Cant help with an ID other than to say they dont look vey helpful, maybe even parasitic. Do they seem to be bothering the cerith? Do you have high snail mortality.

Just did a search in he clam forum and apparently there is a type of pyrimid snail which is parasitic on snails.

The little white ones are parasitic. I heard there are over 6000 different types. If they are on your snails they are probably sucking their blood. I would take them off as many snails as you can and don't stop until you see no more. I'm battling them now myself.

they come out at nite so when I immediately turn my lights on, I have my siphon and bucket ready and get all that have come out
