Snail poo?

I took all the fish out of my DT and moved them to QT, I also remoced all the hermit crabs and mathrix crabs. Now my sand bed is covered in poo? It must be from the snails, I never seen a shrimp go? I got a fair amount of flow, I replaced the little rio 200 with an aqua clear 805.
I guess I just never noticed how much my YWG cleaned up?

Low flow , low CUC , low bio filteration ,overstocking , overfeedings.Any or all of these can cause this.

One easy fix of this is to get a bunch of cerith snails. They eat poo, and they poo in a more usable form for your biofilter to take care of. I won't ever be without them. Also, a small goatfish, while they don't eat it, tend to stir up the bottom enough to help keep the stuff in suspension to be taken out by your filters.

Why did you remove them....planning for an "exit" treatment or something?
