snail spawning

I just went out to my tank to see it clouded up. Looking around I noticed "clouds" beening pushed out by ALL of the snails in the tank. What a mess. Anthias, clams, and other fish were grubbin and my skimmer is going nuts. I took some pics with my phone so I'll try and get them up. I guess I should do a water change?

Interesting Chris. Sounds like broadcast spawning from what you describe.

My cerith and nassarius snails don't do that. They lay eggs on my glass.

It was weird. The snails looked like they would fill up and then push a cloud eggs out into the column. It looked slimy and could see little white spots in it. The best part was about an hour or so latter my tank cleared up.

That happened once in my tank right after a big water change.

It should be fine Chris, just kick back and watch the little critters grow. Although you might have to br...st feed the baby snails for a while though ... LOL j/k

hahaah got your new sump ready yet? I convert my 85 gal fuge into a frag tank with live rocks on the bottom of it so I am ready to frag stuff. As soon as my tank is dialed in I will be buying and fragging

btw, did you get that thing that I sent you? just want to make sure I got the address correct
