Has anyone ever seen one? I saw several at my lfs. Was wondering if they are ok for my reef.

Also looks like the foot is red with a hard toe or shell that seals it in its shell when it retreats.

Both feed on other molluscs, but I think Opeatostoma pseudon is the only one with a red foot. They are very cool snails, but I think most aquarists would rather not have them in their tanks.

Late night typing got me, Opeatostoma pseudodon ("false tooth") is what I meant to type. They are in the same family with the carnivorous Tulip Snails and Horse Conchs.

Could also be a fighting conch: a great subsurface sand cleaner in a tank around 50 g.

Nope, they're predators, they just get sold to the aquarium industry because they look cool and are readily available.
