snails and coralline

Are there any snails that will munch coralline? I cleaned my glass bout a month ago (i mean really cleaned, got rid of all coralline on the sides so I had a different view of the tank). Anyway, there seems to be a little coralline growing on the glass again. It looks like coralline and feels like it. The odd thing is there seems to be snail tracks through it. Will any snail eat coralline?

Snails don't eat coralline. An Urchin will eat it. But it won't eat it selectively. The coralline on your rock work wil be at risk also.

I know there is no urchin in my tank. I guess what that means is that the algae is not coralline.
