Snails - Cannibalism or Mating (w/video)

tonight I put couple of snails from a fuge tank into my new DT. One of them (on the right) appeared to be in poor health as its foot was distended and not really contracting it when touched. It was completely limp though so I put him in the DT anyways. A few minutes later I turned around and noticed another snail touching that one and movement in both snails or appears so.

So is the snail on the left eating the one on the right, or are they mating?

So I checked again this morning and the sickly one is still on its side with foot extended. I'm leaning towards the other one was eating it. I'm going to continue to watch.

Looks like the snail was eating the other. The shell of the one on the right is empty.
