Ok so I'd had some snails with a cone like shape shell and they have lost there shells and went somewhere or die! but now i'd got some bigger turbos in the tank I was trying to find out if maybe their hanging out somewhere waiting for some bigger shells? or died but why? Fish are doing good!

Snails do not wait for bigger shells the shells are part of them and grow with them. If you see an empty snail shell it is because the snail is dead. I don't know why they died...you have not given nearly enough information.

I've had them for over 6 months and notice three shells empty one i think was caught under some live rock that fell on it due to a Longspine Black Urchin but didn't see the other two my water has been good with 0.0 ammonia and 0.0 Nitrite, 0.0 Nitrate with the ph being around 8.0 maybe 8.2 I need to get more accurte ph moniter. The tank has been running for all most a year now. Don't snails grow out of their shells?

What else could have happen not enough algea then? I'm lost they just died? The other snails are ok the smallest one i got is in a round type of shell that is really small and has not grown in shell wise but i got it around the same time but still living!

Sounds like you had astrea turbos. Not all snails sold in the hobby are collected from warm water areas and so they die slowly in a reef environment. Could be not enough food for all of them. Something could have killed them and ate them. Astreas also can fall on their backs and cannot get back up without being turned over. If you don't turn them back over they die.

the water temp has been around the the same with 79-80 the most if they fell on their back I put them up right but it could have happen. I have a fire shrimp but no craps! lol thanks for the input!!
