Snails dying

Hi I have three snails,2 torch us and 1 nerith.last night at about the same time two dropped from glass wall and died.i did two things to tank shortly b4 that.which one do u think caused the deaths? First I added some human grade nori algae sheets for the lawnmower blenny and blue tang. ( I did this for the first time as the lawnmower blenny has cleared up all the green thread hair algae completely.) or two,I moved my sarcopyhton. ( mushroom) to a new spot,,could it have released toxins to kill them? Ty.

I'm not sure about the mushroom, but I've never had anything like that happen from nori sheets. Things to consider would be seeing if it was flavored nori. You don't want to add anything that has artificial flavors or spices, and some human grade nori does. Also, is there any chance when you put your hands in the tank they were dirty? soap residue or houshold cleaners can be realy bad if you get even a little in your tank. I aways wash my hands and rinse for an excessive amount of time just for peace of mind before going in my tank.

Also, are you sure they died? I've had nasarius snails lay eggs o my glass a few times and then fall off, lay in the sand for a few minutes before going into the sand bed.
