snails on strike

I think my nerite snails are on strike. everyday they all gather in the back top corners of my tank. Everyday I pull them approx 10 of them off and drop them back into the tank in an area I would prefer them to clean and they return to the corners within 24 hours. Any ideas why?

Many nerite snails are intertidal, and tend to cluster like that. I'd just leave them alone. They might or might not do well over time. Mine never lasted for very long.

well, from what I read. They want out for awhile. When they are on the live rock they do a great job, but maybe not a great choice becuase of the intertidal stuff....
