snails on strike

i need some help with my CUC. about a week ago the snails just stopped moving and the hermits have rolled over on their backs just waving their arms around. everybody is still alive except for one turbo which was dead. algae has started going crazy so i went and bought 3 more turbos. they were moving about at the LFS but when I got them home to my tank they're pretty much just sitting still. my fish and corals seem 100% fine. what could this be? help please!

Try nassarius snails they are the only ones that ever live in my tank. They don't eat algae but they eat detrius and decaying matter which will lower phosphates and nitrates which will slow algae growth. Try a blue Tuxedo for hair algae and the diadema for brown algae.

My problem is the green algae the turbos kept in check. And my PO and NI are both 0.0. I will say though that the 2 nassarius snails I have don't seem affected by whatever is going on at all. They're still gettin' it around the tank.
