snails reproducing?

How do people get their snails to reproduce in aquariums? I've heard about it being done.. can someone explain it to me?

The first thing you need to do is get the kind of snails in your aquarium that might reproduce there, i.e., those whose larvae have no planktonic stage or a very short one. There are some folks who are working on raising snails of different sorts in their tanks right now. You can visit them at:
