temp is right on so its not that. nitrates are a little high , but nothing crazy!!
First off, what kind of snail is it? Many snails in this hobby are not appropriate for our tanks and they are trying to find a better or more natural place. Some snails in the hobby are collected from intertidal areas (meaning they naturally are out of the water for some periods of time and may need to be for biological reasons).
Second, how high are your nitrates? Anything over 20ppm can be deadly to snails and other invertebrates.
Third, what is your water temperature and salinity?
Yeah mine do that all the time i have to grab them and put them back on the rock or the sand, mine are astrea snails and mainly the mmmmm cant remember....
