This might be a real stupid question.. but i'm curious to know how can you get your snails to mate. or do you have to let take on it's own.. i read on here how some people there snails breed like crazy..

I suggest wine, candle light and viagra....... Oh! you asked about snails didn't you? My wife will be diappointed.

Not much you can do to induce your snails to reproduce except to give them the necessities for them to thrive. They'll take care of the rest.

even if you get them to spawn the chances of eggs hatching are slim, even slimmer for the survivors. if you do get them to lay eggs all your really doing is providing free fish food. theres alot more to breeding snails than just getting the eggs.

There are some snails out there that are hermaphodites, and fertilize themselves. Im not really sure which ones. You might be able to do a search to find out if yours are. You would need a breeding tank, as Paintbug mentioned, to keep any alive.
