Snails

Anyone let me know if these are safe to put in my tank? Found off the coast of brickell key.

They look like Nerite snails. I have a few in my tank from the keys. They are good in my tank, but they do escape the tank, I have found a few dead days later on my floor.

I've also collected snails from similar locations and almost all of them crawled out of the tank and proceeded to fall on the ground and die within a week or two. Wouldn't recommend collecting them from the shore.

Nerites are fine to add to the tank, they do like to climb out above the tide line. Just looked and I saw 8 Nerites on the glass in the tank. Some do climb out, other I knock back in. To me it's worth a shot, a few may escape. They are great in a biocube where there cant escape. Another downside is they lay alot of eggs on the glass, but are easily scraped off

Well by the shore there is about 50 of them daily so replenishment is easy
