Hey everyone,

Nicole and I will be house sitting my moms place near Bradenton and we were looking to do some snorkeling in the area. Not sure where to start looking, but there seems to be quite a few places. Anyone have any points on some nice underwater sights?

TIA

Luis

Louis: Not too far South from there is Siesta Key Beach (20mins?) , off the southern most point of the public beach around the short seawall there is a cool hidden beach cove and the start of private homes along that beach. There's a very colorful rock reef just off shore there that you can swim out to. You can walk around the seawall out from the beach & get back over to the cove and small hidden beach. If it's a good day the water is fairly clear (for areas north of the keys and near shore like this.) The shelf of rocks are huge smooth and colorfull tattered along for at least a mile with clean sand between. Lots of natural growth of aquatics & all sorts of stuff. It's not the Keys or some coral reef but still a nice place to dive for this area. Be carefull & good luck!
